Welcome to Jay Adams' Free Online Bible Study Website. I am a lifelong member of the LCMS. What I offer here are Bible studies and Bible study notes from a Lutheran perspective. Some are Devotional Bible studies and others are more detailed and indepth studies. The main focus of all of these Bible Studies is to connect you to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. When looked at through the eyes of faith, one sees Jesus throughout the entire Bible. I humbly offer this material in hope that it may be of some benefit in leading people to Christ. May the Holy Spirit enlighten you in the only Way of salvation, which is Jesus Christ.

The Key to Understanding the BibleThe Scriptures bear witness to Jesus, who is the Way.
Jesus said to him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 ESV) "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life." (John 5:39-40 ESV)
The entire OT Scriptures are written about Jesus.everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled. (Luke 24:44b ESV) And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. (Luke 24:27 ESV)
Therefore when studying scripture, we always look for Christ crucified.
"For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." (2 Cor. 2:2)
Special note: Several of documents and Bible studies on this site are based on lectures by Dr. John Kleinig. In many of them I provided links so that you could see the lectures for yourself. Recently the website with the works of Dr. Kleinig has been redesigned. Therefore the links I provided to these lectures no longer work.
